Washington Pianos: Serving Seattle & the Puget Sound Region

Finding the right piano is rarely just about finding the closest piano store.

A piano is a long-term investment in music, family, education and often the character of a home. Choosing one deserves time, thoughtful guidance and the opportunity to compare instruments carefully.

At Washington Pianos, our showroom is located in Auburn, Washington, but the community we serve extends throughout the Puget Sound region.

We welcome piano buyers and owners from Seattle, Bellevue and the Eastside, Renton, Kent, Covington, Maple Valley, Federal Way, Tacoma, Puyallup and communities throughout King and Pierce Counties.

Whether you are searching for your first family piano, a fine grand piano, an instrument for an advanced pianist, or a piano for a school, church or organization, our goal is to make the entire journey easier—from selecting the right instrument to getting it safely into place and caring for it in the years ahead.

A Regional Destination for Piano Buyers

Every piano has its own character.

Even two instruments from the same manufacturer can differ in touch, tone, age, condition and musical personality. That is particularly important when considering a quality preowned piano.

Our showroom gives customers the opportunity to explore a thoughtfully selected inventory that may include Yamaha, Kawai, Steinway & Sons, Baldwin, Mason & Hamlin, Schimmel, Seiler and other respected American, Japanese and European makers, along with new digital and acoustic piano options.

For many customers, traveling a little farther to compare several carefully selected instruments is worthwhile.

We want you to have the opportunity to listen, play, ask questions and understand the differences before deciding which piano belongs in your home.

Certified Preowned Pianos for Puget Sound Homes

A well-selected preowned piano can offer extraordinary value.

Washington Pianos specializes in quality Certified Preowned pianos, including grands, baby grands and uprights chosen with attention to their musical and technical condition.

Our approach is not simply to ask, “What piano can we sell?”

We would rather begin with:

Who will be playing it?

A beginning student may need something very different from an advanced pianist. A family choosing a piano for a living room has different considerations from a church, music teacher, school or performing organization.

Room size, musical goals, touch preference, tonal character, budget and long-term plans all matter.

The right piano is the one that fits the person and the purpose.

You Don't Have to Live Near the Showroom

One of the reasons we created Pianos Across Puget Sound is simple: customers sometimes assume that purchasing from a piano store means they need to live nearby.

With pianos, that isn't necessarily true.

Washington Pianos works with customers throughout the greater Puget Sound area, and professional piano moving and delivery can be coordinated as part of the purchasing process.

So a family in Seattle, Bellevue, Renton, Kent, Federal Way, Tacoma or another surrounding community can visit our showroom, choose the instrument that feels right, and have its journey home professionally arranged.

The relationship doesn't have to end when the piano arrives.

Piano Moving & Delivery Throughout the Region

Moving a piano is specialized work.

Acoustic pianos are heavy, mechanically complex instruments that require appropriate equipment, planning and handling. Grand pianos require additional preparation and specialized moving procedures.

Access conditions can also matter—stairs, elevators, narrow entries, flooring, instrument size and placement within the home all need to be considered.

Washington Pianos can help customers arrange professional piano moving and delivery throughout our Puget Sound service area, whether the move is associated with a piano purchased from us or involves another piano-moving need.

Our goal is to make the transition from showroom to home as smooth and carefully planned as possible.

Piano Tuning, Repairs & Long-Term Care

A piano is not simply delivered and forgotten.

Acoustic pianos are living mechanical instruments containing thousands of individual parts. Over time they require tuning, and depending upon their age, use and condition, they may benefit from repair, regulation, voicing or more extensive technical attention.

Washington Pianos provides and coordinates piano care for customers throughout our regional community, including:

• Piano tuning and repairs
• Regulation and voicing
• Piano moving and storage
• Restoration and refinishing
• Piano appraisals
• Trade-ins and consignments

Our intention is to help customers not only find a piano, but also understand how to care for it throughout its life.

Serving Families, Teachers, Churches & Schools

The Puget Sound region has an extraordinary musical community.

Our customers include families introducing children to music, adult players returning to the piano, piano teachers, professional musicians, churches, schools and other organizations.

Each has different needs.

A teacher may be looking for an instrument capable of supporting many hours of daily use. A church may need an instrument suited to a sanctuary and worship program. A school may need guidance evaluating existing instruments as well as planning future purchases.

For institutional customers especially, choosing a piano can involve more than selecting a model. Placement, durability, maintenance, budget and long-term stewardship can all become part of the decision.

Washington Pianos welcomes the opportunity to help organizations think through those questions carefully.

From Seattle to Tacoma—and the Communities Between

Our location in South King County allows Washington Pianos to serve a remarkably broad portion of the Puget Sound region.

To the north are Seattle, Bellevue and the Eastside.

Around us are Renton, Kent, Covington, Maple Valley and neighboring South King County communities.

To the south are Federal Way, Tacoma, Puyallup and communities throughout Pierce County.

Those city names aren't simply keywords to us. They represent the families, teachers, musicians, churches and organizations that make up the musical community we hope to serve.

And as Washington Pianos continues to grow, we want our regional presence to grow through relationships—not simply geography.
