This exceptional Steinway & Sons Model L Grand Piano, built in 1936 during Steinway’s Golden Era, is currently undergoing a comprehensive professional restoration and will soon emerge as a refined concert-quality instrument suitable for the most discerning pianist or collector.
The restoration process includes new bass strings, new action components, and critical internal rebuilding using premium parts, ensuring the piano will deliver the tonal depth, responsiveness, and longevity expected of a fully rebuilt Steinway. The cabinet is being restored in a classic black satin finish, preserving the instrument’s timeless elegance while honoring its historic character.
Once completed, this Model L will offer the rich, singing tone and nuanced dynamic control for which pre-war Steinway grands are renowned. At approximately 5'10½", the Model L is widely considered one of Steinway’s most versatile grands—large enough to produce a powerful, resonant bass, yet perfectly proportioned for refined homes, studios, and intimate performance spaces.
This piano will be delivered in excellent playing condition, meticulously regulated, voiced, and prepared for serious musical use.
